The Siege of Kadaffi Duck

The Libyans at Bengazi do not want a Western hijacking of their people’s revolution. Tripoli will have a problem of food, but the West will not prevent food from being imported. Time actually allows the Kaddafi’s to regroup with control of 40% of the Libyan population. Defensive positions with better equipment can drag things out for a long time. Like the Spanish Civil War, it is a “No Pasaran” moment. Right now, no one is trying to take Tripoli, they are just holding their current positions.

The Brits which put peaceful Iceland on a terrorist list for banking ills are leading calls for the West to act in Libya. Italy has abandoned its non-aggression agreement with Libya. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has made negative comments about further interventions in Third World countries.
