August 10, 2011 Caroline Glick; Arm Syria’s Kurds

In an article written today by Caroline Glick of the Jerusalem Post, the argument is made that a Sunni Jihadist Syria would be preferable to the Alawite regime, which is seen as a wholly owned glove puppet of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Fall of the Alawis would further aid the Sunni-Maronite pro-Western axis in Lebanon. The Kurds only account for 10% of the Syrian population and such a move would greatly anger the post-Donmeh government of Prime Minister Erdogan in Turkey, which saw the attack on the “Rachel Corrie” aid ship as the straw that broke the camel’s back in Turkish- Israeli relations.
