June 11 The Feast of St. Barnabas, Patron of Cyprus

Today is the Gregorian Calendar feast of St. Barnabas of Cyprus.
St.Barnabas was from Famagusta, which the Turkish Muslims captured in 1974, contrary to any supposed international law. St. Catherine of Alexandria, Egypt was originally from northern Cyprus as well.

The June 12 election in Turkey is bad news for Greek Christians. Turks like jingoistic adventurism as much as half of the American population. Even the so called leftist parties such as the Kemalist CHP are intransigent in efforts to solve the Cyprus issue. The Patriarch of the Church of Cyprus needs to abandon hope in the masonic United Nations and accept the Council of Florence and Vatican I.
